Tentative plan for CPL workshop during the next meeting.

• Load all CFTDA members in the MAP CPL platform as “initiators” for their colleges.

• Conduct a “Fingers-on Training” (FOT) session for 2 hours after lunch to walk each college through the log in, query, and adoption process of currently approved CCC MAP Fire Technology (and EMS, and Wildland) exhibits into their college for CPL award for students.

• Answer all questions and concerns of CFTDA members about their internal district CPL processes, obstacles and impacts.
• Display the process in a screen share for members attending on Zoom, and help troubleshoot CPL adoption issues.

My ask is this:

• Designation of 2 hours after lunch for this team.

• The email’s of all attendees (or members) prior to the meeting, who would like to have a MAP CPL “Initiator” access log in.

• A means to break up the entire meeting room into groups so that CPL can meet and assist these groups in the FOT session.

• Request of all attendees to bring their laptops to the FOT session.
• Logistical items to support group computer access (Power sources, extension cords, internet bandwidth).

I know this is a heavy lift, and I am willing to do whatever I can to make this happen. I feel this event would  tie in nicely to the entire “Conference” motif of the Fresno experience.

Your reservation cut-off date is on April 22, 2026 and your guests have until that date to make their reservation to receive the group rate.

Group Rate: $309 before tax, due to the new CA law we must include all fees on our website. The booking site will show $319 before tax when booking, this is because it includes the $10 resort charge.

Group Resort Charge: Discounted to $10 (16% tax is applied to this charge)

Total stay after taxes(including the resort charge):  $370.74

Taxes: 16% hotel occupancy tax, CA State Tourism assessment fee of $0.70/day

Cancellation Policy: 72-hour notice without penalty (cancellation and early departure fee is 1 night room and tax)

Incidental hold is: $150 per day of stay

Pet Fee: $99 for the entire stay (2 pet per room restriction)

Check in time: 4pm

Check Out time: 11am

Our guest services team can arrange to check baggage for those that arrive early when rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.

Group Discounted Parking: $20 for day and $35 for overnight parking (due to the limited number of stalls, we are a valet only property). There are no taxes on the parking charge, this is a flat rate. Please note that day parking does not include in and out privileges, but overnight parking does.
