Hi all,

  1. A friendly reminder that ALL distance education requires review and approval by SFT PRIOR to course delivery. Please be sure to submit the application for online instruction  WITH and at the same time the course request is submitted.
  2. If the course has already been delivered the retro requests can not be accommodated by SFT.
  3. A course with any online instruction/delivery including hybrid, partial or completely online, falls into the distance education definition and MUST have an online instruction application submitted along side the course request.

If you have any questions in regards to the above points please reach out to Caryn Petty @ [email protected].

Best,

Key points in this letter from CARB:

  1. Low Usage Vehicles must be operated less than 1,000 miles or 50 hours per year, based on a five-year rolling mileage or engine-hour average.
  2. Mileage is “averaged” over 5 year spans
  3. There is a requirement that we log the annual hours but there is no reporting requirement necessary to CARB
