Key points in this letter from CARB:

  1. Low Usage Vehicles must be operated less than 1,000 miles or 50 hours per year, based on a five-year rolling mileage or engine-hour average.
  2. Mileage is “averaged” over 5 year spans
  3. There is a requirement that we log the annual hours but there is no reporting requirement necessary to CARB

To Interested Parties:

The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is providing Notice of Scheduled Public Hearing of proposed modifications to California Code of Regulations, Title 19, Division 1, Chapter 13, related to State Fire Training – fee increase adjustment to certification and training standards for California fire service personnel.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 11346.8, the OSFM will hold a public hearing on the proposed action on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 1:30 pm to accept oral testimony regarding this proposed regulatory action.
